This is just one way of retrieving this great jerkbait, there are other that work on different occasions. I use 0,98 mm florocarbon leader which I find the best for jerkbait fishing because it wont kink (not even after whole day of fishing) and is still not that visible. Rod is Savage Gear XLNT Butch Lite 205 cm 40-100gr and reel is Shimano Curado 207. I use 20 lb PP braid. I had this massive session in a public water near Velika Gorica Croatia which was known for big pike but devastated in few last years due to killing all pike that are caught! It`sa great success to catch such fish, and I still cannot believe I got it all on film! Enjoy this clip and release pike after catching!
